Cultural references
While in European cultures it was considered to be left-handed as a negative attribute and even the word sinister was used to refer in the same way to a left-handed as to someone dangerous, in three non-European cultures being left-handed was a distinction and an honor. Among the Incas the lefties were considered as owners of mystical powers, among the tantric Buddhists of India and the Chinese was considered to be left-handed as being wise.
