Differences between left and right handed

But, are there also significant differences in people's abilities depending on whether they are right or left handed? There are many myths and legends about it, but the most feasible thing is that the different abilities of each other are related to the diverse distribution of brain functions.

The human brain can be divided into two zones, and while the left hemisphere is responsible for controlling speech and language and for processing logical and numerical information, the right hemisphere controls emotions. In most people the writing is regulated from the left side, which is the one that controls the right hand, while in the case of left-handed people it is done by the right and, in addition, the functions of both hemispheres are more distributed.

The right hemisphere of the brain –related to genius and creativity– is more active in lefties and makes them more apt to visualize the whole problem and perform several tasks at once

The superiority of left-handers in some sports (such as tennis) is due, according to experts, to the fact that the right hemisphere - the one that controls the left hand - is more specialized in spatial vision tasks, so the athlete who uses that hand has the advantage of being able to control the movement of the limb and the vision of the play from the same side, while the right hand needs to pass the order to attack with the right hand to the left hemisphere.

The left-hander has also been linked to greater creativity because the right hemisphere of the brain –related to genius and creativity– is more active in left-handed people and makes them more apt to visualize the whole problem and perform several tasks at once , also favoring his artistic abilities.

On the other hand, in a world designed for right-handed people, left-handers have been forced to adapt and train their brains to overcome everyday difficulties, forcing greater interaction between both cerebral hemispheres. What is widely demonstrated is that left-handers are much more skilled with the right hand than the right-handed with the left.
