Nobody has died for being left-handed, that is to say first of all. At least now, since at the time of the Inquisition they were very frowned upon and during the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, machinery designed for right-handed people caused them more than one accident. It is a relief to think that it is no longer considered a physical defect to correct or a sign of the Devil. But that they have had to adapt to a world designed for 85% (or 87%, or 89%, or 90%; the studies do not agree) of mortals, go if they had to. It seems silly to think that the spiral of the notebook can be uncomfortable, unless you are 15% (or 13%, or 11%, or 10%) of the people whose left hand is dominant.
